Still have stars in your eyes when you think about the first edition of the Brussels Thread Festival? So do we.
And for the next one, we want to do it all over again — even more magical, smoother and crazier!

But a festival like the BFF is something we weave together. Very soon, we’ll launch our call for volunteers to join the 2026 team — friendly, motivated people ready to experience the festival from the inside.

So if you already feel the thread of adventure tickling your fingers, stay tuned: applications will open right here 👀
Until then, warm up your enthusiasm… and mark March 28 & 29, 2026 in your calendar!

 FAQ

Will there be a changing room?

Yes, a changing room will be available on site to relieve you in peace. You can drop coats, bags and spare balls there if necessary. Remember to take change!

Can we pay by credit card?

Yes, the BFF ticket office and most exhibitors accept card payments, except for the locker room that runs in cash (with the parts generally lying around in the bottom of your bag). That said, having a few species on you is still a good idea: it avoids capricious terminal hassles or changing mood wi-fi signals.

Is my ticket valid for the whole day?

Yes I do. Your ticket gives access to the festival for the chosen day. You can come in, go out, come back, stroll, breathe… We don’t let you go so easily.

Are the workshops refundable?

No. Workshop places are non-refundable, as they are limited, reserved, prepared with love (and material). Choose with your heart, and we take care of the rest.

I did not receive my ticket. What to do?

Look in your spam or spam: he sometimes likes to hide there. If nothing is then that the amount has been debited, it is also possible that a technical bug – mysterious like a wire that breaks without warning – took place. Do not panic: the ticket office automatically refunds within 10 working days if the purchase fails. Only 1% of presales encounter this bug. But on the 2025 edition, 100% of the bugs were automatically refunded.

Can we eat and drink on the spot?

Of course. There will be something to drink, snack, taste, have fun, regain strength between two creative cracks.

Can we go out and come back during the day?

Yes, your post allows you to go out for air, take a detour, call your mother or show your fabric coupon to a girlfriend, then come back to your place.

Can we still apply as an exhibitor or to lead a workshop?

Applications are now closed, but a waiting list is open in the event of a withdrawal or last-minute opportunity. You can register here.

In what language are the workshops, talks and conferences held?

All our workshops and talks are given in French.
However, they remain perfectly accessible to anyone who understands a bit of the language of Molière — passion, gestures and smiles usually do the rest!

Great  Creative Destash

BFF 2026 Edition

This year, the Bruxelles Festival du Fil is launching a brand-new concept: The Great Creative Destash!

Because we all know that behind every sewing, knitting or embroidery enthusiast hides a closet overflowing with good intentions.
Those fabrics bought “for one day,” those lonely skeins, those too-small scraps… What if all of that could find a new life?

☘️ A circular, joyful and useful initiative

The idea is simple: let materials circulate instead of letting them gather dust.

Instead of throwing them away or keeping them in a box, the BFF invites you to bring your unused treasures so they can continue their story in the hands of other creators.

All collected materials will be passed on to our second-hand haberdashery partners — La Green Fabrique, R-Use-Fabrik, Cyclup and La Souplothèque — who are committed to sorting, reusing and giving them a new life, in a fully circular spirit.

What you can bring

  • Fabrics: clean, folded, minimum 1m

  • Yarn & skeins: used or not

  • Haberdashery: ribbons, buttons, threads, zippers, bias tape, lace, piping…

  • Scraps: all sizes, clean and usable

Pack everything in closed bags, sorted by category (fabrics, yarn, scraps, haberdashery). This sorting helps our partners and avoids waste.

Why take part?

Because creativity is even more beautiful when it’s shared.
Because clearing out your stash makes room for new ideas.
And because together, we can turn our habits into a collective, sustainable gesture.

At BFF 2026, we celebrate thread in all its forms — even those patiently waiting for their moment to shine.
So sort, pack, and bring your share of circular creativity to the Great BFF Destash!
