2025 Edition

When no one really saw it coming, a slightly crazy idea slowly turned into reality… and what a reality it was!
In February 2025, the very first Bruxelles Festival du Fil landed in the capital — in a burst of pink, flying threads, and textile passion that could make needles tremble.

For one unforgettable weekend, the hearts of knitting, sewing, crochet, and embroidery lovers beat as one.

The first edition of the BFF in numbers (roughly verified — except for the crêpes):

– 42 fabulous exhibitors

– 25 workshops (all sold out, all adored)

– 3000+ visitors who braved the February cold to warm up in the glow of yarn and creativity

– 67,523 geeky textile chats (estimated by ear)

– 157,653 new creative projects launched — in notebooks, in heads, or in project bags

– 1,763 crêpes eaten with notable emotional intensity

But no number can truly describe what we experienced: that feeling of finally having a place of our own, an event where the love for handmade could flow freely, joyfully, right in the heart of Brussels.
So many passionate people together, such an electric vibe — threadfully unforgettable. 🧶✨

Of course, there were a few hiccups, a few surprises, and the occasional seam ripper pulled out in a hurry.
The biggest issue? Too much enthusiasm — the venue ended up a little too small for so much passion.

And the hardest part afterward? Waiting.
But good news: in 2026, we’re doing it all over again — with a much bigger venue, more exhibitors, even more passion, and the same sparkling energy that might just become the signature spirit of the BFF.
